Music Lessons for Flute and Piano - lessons & tutoring

My name is Larissa and I have been teaching private music lessons for about 10 years. I have over 25 years of playing experience for flute and piccolo, alto flute, piano, guitar, bass guitar, and ukulele. I spent several years performing in the orchestra pit for musicals (the most recent was Les Misérables), marching in parades (including Disneyland), and competing in marching, symphonic, and concert band performances.

Now I teach private one-on-one lessons for flute and piano, virtually via Zoom meeting once or twice per week.

I focus on building strong musicianship skills from the start, including music theory knowledge, understanding of complex rhythms, sight reading new sheet music, and more. My students also perform two times per year in a seasonal Music Recital performance that I host. This is when the students can show their skills to their friends and family, who are invited to come and watch the performance (for free). It is also a great experience for them as performing is a large part of being a musician and there are separate skills to learn when facing the pressures of performing live.

I am currently seeking new students for FLUTE at all levels and for PIANO beginners ages 6 and up!
