I am a Bay Area native with my Spanish teaching license, Master's of Education and over 12 years of experience supporting local students in their Spanish language journeys. I've taught at a range of local private and public secondary schools and have independently worked with hundreds of students, from beginner middle and high school students to advanced adult learners, helping students of all backgrounds and learning styles thrive in their Spanish studies. My lessons are anchored in proven language acquisition methods such as comprehensible input, total physical response, and communicative language teaching, and scaffolded with instruction tailored to each students' strengths and challenges. With the firm belief that languages are most deeply learned when students find meaningful connections to their own lives, I draw on diverse materials, resources and cultural explorations to make Spanish learning relevant and bring Spanish to life.

Whether a student is seeking support for a current Spanish class, preparing for advanced coursework, strengthening foundational skills, or pursuing Spanish independently, I provide targeted instruction designed to foster both academic success and genuine language proficiency that extends beyond the classroom and into the real world. As a credentialed Spanish teacher, in addition to tutoring students enrolled in Spanish courses, I also guide learners through fully independent, structured Spanish study programs, going well beyond traditional tutoring support. Do I also work with adult learners? Yes! Over the course of my career, I have helped a variety of adult-learners to boost their Spanish proficiency for the purposes of work, travel, cognitive strengthening and the sheer joy of learning.
